Doctors Without Borders Layout

This project was two two-page magazine layouts for the organization, Doctors Without Borders. One layout focused on using an image within text while the other focused on using text within an image. Both projects were done in a minimalist style and adhere to minimalist principles.

The first layout uses an image within text. I choose to use the word "health" and the image of patients waiting for care in a waiting room. I chose to highlight the patients faces by having them come outside the boundaries of the text so that their entire faces would be visible. I did this because I felt that Doctors Without Borders was about the people they serve and they deserve to be the focus of the piece.

The second layout uses text within an image. I chose an image of a doctor performing a checkup on an infant and the word "lifesaving." I chose to have the doctor's stethoscope going through the word to the infant to symbolize the connection between doctor and patient.
