For this project I was tasked with designing the logo for the YouTube Channel, Jaitokes. Along with that I also created a matching banner as well. This channel focuses on reviewing legal hemp and cannabis products. Outer space imagery is often used in relation with cannabis and the owner of this channel was very interested in using that imagery in his branding. He also wanted the logo to include the moniker "Jai" instead of the full channel name as well. I started with picking the perfect font and I chose Ahsing for this. The "J" in this font was very wavy and almost looked like smoke which is very fitting for the channel. It also had a groovy 70s quality that often is used when it comes to cannabis products and use. I chose a periwinkle color that represents serenity and calmness that one might feel while using cannabis products. I used a glitch effect as well on the text to add a more fun and playful element. I finished off the text with an image of Saturn on the "I" to add another fun and playful element and also tie in with the space theme. I chose a starry background to add a deep space "out of this world" quality to the logo and well and purple atmospheric elements towards the top that almost look like smoke floating up. Purple is also associated with magic and mysticism which cannabis is often associated with as well.
