Save the Date
This project was a example for a wedding save the date card that I used on my Fiverr listing advertising the creation of save the date card designs. While working at a bridal shop I saw many customers putting orange tones together with greens for Fall weddings so I decided to try the color combination out on this card. Orange and green. I went for a less-is-more approach for this design to let the text stand out on its own without a lot going on in the background. I used a couple of floral elements that went well with the color scheme to play with the idea of fall flowers and foliage. The floral elements had contrasting light and dark orange hues so i played off of that by using contrasting light and dark greens in the text. For the font I used a serif font that was formal for a wedding but was also modern, bubbly and fun for a contemporary wedding. I made the florals and the text intertwine to create cohesion and also add some interest that guides the eye to the focal points. It was easy enough designing a card based on a color palette and a theme, but I would like to try designing something for a real couple and the idiosyncrasies that context might bring.
